Installing MySQL Community Server 8.0.23 on MacOS Big Sur 11.2

The goal is to install MySQL and to make it run through the system preferences panel.

GOAL: MySql in the MacOS preferences panel

1. Select MacOS from the dropdown and download the DMG file from here (It is the first of the list at the time of writing), once download it, open the installer by double clicking on it.
2. Press: continue → continue → agree → install
3. The installer will generate a temporary password. Save it. It cannot be recovered and you need it for the installation.
4. Restart the mac.
5. Go to the preferences panel and press “start mySql server”
6. Click “initialise database”
